What is the minimum budget?
Meta, which runs Facebook and Instagram ads, lets you start with a small daily amount, and the minimum can change. Check the number shown in your ad account today rather than trusting a figure in an article.
But the minimum you are allowed to spend and the minimum you need to learn anything are two different things.
What should you spend to learn anything?
Ads need enough budget and time for the platform to find the right people, and for you to see a pattern. A very small spend for a few days tells you almost nothing, because a handful of clicks can look good or bad by chance.
A way to think about it:
- Decide the most you are willing to lose while you learn, as a total for the month, not per day.
- Divide it by 30 for a daily figure. For example, ₹15,000 a month is ₹500 a day.
- Run for at least a few weeks before judging.
- Judge by enquiries, not by likes.
Those numbers are only an example. Choose an amount that you can afford to spend without worrying, and that suits how much a customer is worth to you.
Who pays Meta, and who pays the agency?
These are two separate payments.
- Ad spend is paid by you, directly to Meta, from your own ad account. It is the money that buys the ads.
- The agency fee is paid to the agency for planning, setting up, running and reporting.
In our Social Media and Ads plan, which is ₹9,999 a month including GST, we manage up to ₹10,000 a month of your ad budget. The ad spend itself is not included. You pay Meta yourself. When you start two or three plans together at your first checkout, we also add ad money to your account each month: ₹1,500 with Website + Social or Social + SEO, and ₹3,000 with all three.
What should the ad point to?
An ad is only the first step. Where it sends people matters as much as the ad.
- A website page that matches the ad. If the ad is about a haircut offer, send people to the haircut page, not the homepage.
- A WhatsApp chat or a call button for businesses where people prefer to talk.
- A form that sends the details straight to your email.
Make sure whoever answers the enquiries does so quickly. A good ad wasted on a slow reply is money lost.
How do you read the report?
Ask for these, in plain words:
- How much was spent
- How many enquiries came in, and how many were real customers
- The cost per enquiry
- Which ads did better, and what changes were made
Treat clicks and reach as supporting detail. If the report cannot tell you how many enquiries you got, ask for one that can.
When should you stop?
Stop or change an ad when:
- It has had enough time and budget and produces no enquiries
- Enquiries come but are the wrong kind, such as people outside your area
- The cost of an enquiry is higher than you can afford for what a customer is worth
- Your business cannot handle more enquiries right now
Stopping is not failure. It is how you avoid wasting money. Try a new offer, picture or message and measure again.
What is our ₹10,000 ad budget limit about?
Our plan manages up to ₹10,000 a month of your own ad budget. It is a sensible range for a local business that is learning what works. If you want to spend more, speak to us and we will tell you what that would cost to manage, before any work starts. See the pricing page.
Questions people ask
Do ads need a website?
Not strictly, because ads can send people to WhatsApp or a call. But a website page that matches the ad usually converts better, since people can read details and trust you before they act. A website also gives you a place to measure results. We recommend having one.
Is ₹500 a day needed?
No. That figure is only an example to show how to divide a monthly budget. Spend an amount that fits your business and that you can keep up for a few weeks. A smaller budget works, but it takes longer to learn from, so judge it over a longer time.
Can you promise leads?
No, and no one honestly can. Ad results depend on your offer, your area, your competition and how fast you reply. We run the ads, watch the budget and show you the numbers every month in a report, so you can see what the money did.
Who owns the ad account?
It should be yours. The ad account and payment method should be in your business's name, so you keep control and history if you change agencies. Ask any agency this before they begin, and be careful if they want to run ads only through their own account.
Should I boost posts?
Boosting is the quick button on a post and is fine for simple awareness. It offers fewer controls than the ads tools, and it is easy to spend money on likes rather than enquiries. If you want enquiries, plan an ad around a clear offer and a clear next step.
